Robbie Antonio, founder and chief executive officer of Revolution Precrafted, the fastest company to reach first unicorn startup status in Southeast Asia, will be honoured with the 2018 Philippines Real Estate Personality of the Year Award at the annual PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards at the Fairmont Hotel in Makati.

The PropertyGuruReal Estate Personality of the Year Award is only bestowed to a top-quality developer who is recognised in the real estate sector for his or her achievements and has made a significant impact in the Asian real estate sector.

“I am honoured to accept this award from one of the most prestigious organisations in the industry. I would like to share this to the rest of the Revolution Precrafted team, who continue to challenge the status quo with groundbreaking projects and designs,” Antonio added.

Antonio spearheaded the establishment of Revolution Precrafted, a startup company that aimed to “democratise design” by creating design-forward, limited edition precrafted homes, pavilions and other related structures, and making them more accessible to the masses through more competitive costs.

Since the company’s inception in December 2015, Revolution Precrafted has worked with over 70 prominent global architects, artists, and designers, such as Pritzker Prize Architects Zaha Hadid, Philip Johnson Alan Ritchie, and Jean Nouvel. Robbie Antonio spearheaded the most number of branded real estate developments after partnering with some of the world’s leading brands such as Daniel Libeskind, Armani Casa, yoo by Philippe Starck, The Trump Company, and Versace Home.

Revolution Precrafted has also bagged more than USD6.5 billion worth of Philippine-based and global property projects. This includes the 85-unit Luxury Hotel project in Okinawa, Japan; and the USD300 million dealership partnership in the Caribbean with Novo Development. It also partnered with KT Group for the USD1.2 billion Okkyin City Project in Myanmar, and with Seven Tides for the USD3.2 billion “The World Islands” project in Dubai.

In the Philippines, the company is building the USD750 million Flavorscapes project in Mexico, Pampanga; and the USD1.1 billion Batulao Artscapes, the world’s first livable art park situated in Nasugbu, Batangas. Outside of the Property Sector, Antonio also gained world renown for his passion for the arts. It also partnered with property giant Megaworld Corporation for the supply of retail pop-ups.

Antonio joins the ranks of some of the most important pillars in the Philippine real estate industry. Other previous winners include former Ayala Land CEO Antonio T. Aquino, Megaworld Corp. Chairman Andrew L. Tan, Net Group Co-president Ramon Fernando Rufino, Vista Land Chairman Manuel B. Villar, Robinsons Land Corp. President Frederick D. Go and Century Properties Chairman Jose E.B. Antonio.

What motivated you to establish Revolution Precrafted?

I want to innovate and pioneer. My passion and experience in art collection greatly inspired me to establish Revolution Precrafted. Having a precrafted home or property is like art collecting.

One of my primary goals is to democratise design and make world-class architecture and structures attainable and accessible for all people. I want to create cutting-edge and cost-efficient precrafted livable spaces in partnership with world’s renowned architects who are also passionate about art.

What do you consider your most significant achievements to Philippine real estate so far?

I’ve been doing real estate for over a dozen years. Founding Revolution Precrafted is one of my most significant contributions to the industry. As a startup, the company had been steadly growing since its inception in 2015. We are the fastest company to reach unicorn status in Southeast Asia. We have already bagged USD6.5 billion worth of property projects locally and internationally. We are so proud that we have sealed deals with international companies; and we are honored to be working with over 70 global architects, artists, and designers to produce exclusive out-of-the-box designs and structures.

I am also honored to receive international accolade from Builtworlds and to be considered as one of the “25 Pioneers Who’ve Transformed the Built Industry” alongside Elon Musk, founder of Tesla. I highly appreciate these awards for recognizing my efforts and contributions to the industry.

How would you address the biggest hurdles in Philippine real estate through your position as founder of a unicorn startup?

Prefabrication technology never stops advancing. As an international PropTech company, we have to continuously adapt to new ideas, trends, and concepts to stay ahead of the competition. I, along with our team of designers and engineers, make it a point to never stay static and to stay open to emerging developments in the real estate sector.

Another hurdle in Philippine real estate is access to world-class design. When people hear the term “world-class,” they immediately associate the term with being expensive or inaccessible. It is Revolution Precrafted’s goal to make high-end design available to a much wider customer range.

Our company never stops reaching out to top companies and individuals in their respective fields of art, design, and architecture. We want to keep our roster of designers as diverse as possible.

Do you consider yourself a game change in the local property sector?

Yes. We currently have two local projects that are considered to be the first of its kind – Batulao Artscapes and Revolution Flavorscapes. Both developments will offer its residents and guests a completely different living experience from what they are normally used to. By establishing industry firsts, it changes the perspective of customers on what they can expect in a real estate development.

Revolution Precrafted will continue bringing unique and innovative developments locally and internationally.
